Scripting a Scottish planning bot
Providing surge support to a Scottish Government project, this utilised our previous specialty in chatbot content creation. The short-term project involved creating the conversational flow for a pre-application planning permission checker.
Covering 2 main journeys with over 40 routes, the work ensured that, irrespective of the user’s selection, the in-tool conversation stayed natural and made sense.
As an addition to the main content creation, we provided the client with a report of content recommendations and next steps. This included best practice approach for conversation tools, and how stand-alone guidance and support could enhance the user experience.
This journey formed a proof of concept for Scottish Government ahead of their investment.
Key deliverables and areas of support included:
- Surge support for Scottish Government proof of concept
- Created free-flowing conversational copy for pre-planning check tool
- Populated conversation for 2 main journeys which included over 40 potential routes of conversation
- Ensured no hard-stops where conversation would abruptly end or conflict with an earlier aspect of the journey
- Adhered to best practice accessibility allowing tool to support all users level of technical proficiency
- Provided an overview report with content recommendations and strategic next steps to take the tool beyond its proof of concept
