Shaping and delivering the copy process for a £520m scheme
We provided copy and content strategy support for Help to Grow: Digital (HTG:D) – an ambitious government initiative to deliver £520m of funding to SMEs.
This was an incredibly fast-paced project environment with tight deadlines and accountability direct to Treasury and the now Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak.
Our content work shaped the delivery of educational, user experience and interactive media content throughout the HTG:D platform. The 4-person content team worked across multiple project streams consulting with all UCD disciplines and dev teams to ensure content seamless user experience.
Key deliverables and areas of support included:
- Devising the short-, medium- and long-term HTG:D content strategy for the end-to-end experience (first view to funding being issued)
- Data-based refinements based on qualitive and quantitively research
- Creating logic flows and content for the scheme’s software recommendation tool. Included liaising with dev teams to ensure logic was built correctly without dead-ends
- Created 3 x online course modules to improve users understanding of how and why to go digital. This included interactive action plans.
- Script writing, including Chancellor’s script to launch the scheme
- Provided service design support
- Set the tone of voice for site’s UX copy and editorial content
- Liaise directly with policy stakeholders at all levels
- Collaborative working with all members of UCD and digital project team
