Supporting MHRA’s largest digital transformation

Providing short-term support for the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), this role was primarily an education piece in Agile working and the benefits of content strategy.

With a relatively small budget to manage MHRA’s largest ever digital transformation project, we worked directly with in-house staff to develop a plan of UCD best practice. We promoted the importance of continuity in content across the end-to-end service, supported content creation, review and refinement in the early stages of wireframing, and extol the importance of taking a full UCD view in testing sessions.

Key deliverables and areas of support included:

  • Supported the in-house staff in understanding Agile ways of working and UCD functions
  • Promoted the difference, and evolved the understanding, of digitised journeys Vs digital transformation
  • Created, reviewed and refined copy in wireframes of initial paper to screen journeys
  • Created a service plan for a new CMS integration to house support and guidance
  • Promoted the benefits and shaped the approach for taxonomy of language across the service
  • Promoted the benefits of adherence to GDS patterns across the end-to-end service to enhance user experience
